Children are among the most precious beings in our communities—pure, innocent, and deserving of protection, love, and joy. Yet, they remain the most vulnerable, often exposed to abuse, neglect, and violence at a young age. Recognising this urgent need to safeguard and uplift them, Inkosi yamaKhosi oMoya, Imboni Dr. uZwi-Lezwe Radebe, established Children’s Day within TRSH as a special occasion dedicated entirely to honouring, celebrating, and protecting children. As tje saying goes, “A child carries the light of tomorrow; if we protect that light, we secure the future of a nation.”

On Saturday, 29 November 2026 (ASC), Ithemba Lesizwe from all TRSH Spiritual Centres in Gauteng gathered in unity to honour Inkosi yamaKhosi oMoya as the celebration of His birth month came to a close.

The event took place in Walkerville, a calm and scenic area known for its tranquil atmosphere and home to Samuel Lofts.

Inkosi yamaKhosi oMoya intentionally selected this meaningful site so that Ithemba Lesizwe could enjoy a refreshing space, far away from the dangers and pressures often found in township blocks and densely populated flats. Walkerville provided a safe, free, and open environment where children could simply breathe, explore, and enjoy their day.The celebration began with a spiritually grounding meditation session, allowing the children to reconnect with themselves and find inner peace. This was followed by an exciting lineup of activities such as face painting, swimming, and various fun-filled games. The children were treated to a joyful experience designed to help them create lasting memories, memories filled with laughter, freedom, and happiness.Beyond the fun, the event carried a deeper purpose. Many underprivileged African children face harsh socio-economic challenges that confine them to limited spaces and opportunities. This Children’s Day celebration offered them a rare escape, a chance to explore a world beyond their daily struggles and to be reminded that they are valued, cherished, and worthy of joy.

The day at Walkerville proved to be a meaningful experience for Ithemba Lesizwe. With well-organised activities, spiritual engagement, and a safe environment, the celebration beautifully honoured the Birthday of Inkosi yamaKhosi oMoya while reaffirming the importance of nurturing and uplifting every child.
