On June 13, 2026, the Mzuvukile Slabbert Radebe Institute (MSRI) celebrated the accreditation of three skills programs by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) in its auditorium. The event was attended by His Spiritual Royal Majesty (HSRM) Imboni Dr. uZwi-Lezwe Radebe, the founder of MSRI, along with key stakeholders, including Dr Massimo Introvigne, co-author of The Revelation Spiritual Home (TRSH), and politician Mr Yongama Zigebe.

MSRI is a higher learning institution dedicated to enriching the education system by grounding its curriculum in African Indigenous Spirituality. The institute received accreditation as a skills development provider for three qualifications: Poultry Farmer (NQF Level 5), Livestock Farmer/Livestock Supervisor (NQF Level 3), and Crop Produce Analyst (NQF Level 5). While other institutions also offer these qualifications, MSRI’s certificates stand out because they integrate African Indigenous Spirituality, recognising that life itself is spiritual.

“Our distinguishing feature is not our building, not just accreditation, not prestige, our foundation is African Indigenous Spirituality, not religion,” HSRM emphasised. He also asked why other nations have successfully embedded their cultural identity into education, while Africa has yet to do so. According to HSRM, including African Indigenous Spirituality in education will help Africans become more confident and connected to their own identity.

This accreditation marks a major milestone in a journey that began in 2015. Mr Thabo Seotsanaya, a member of the MSRI Executive Council, reflected, “This is the first of many. It was a difficult road, but today we celebrate this important step.”

Excited by this progress, MSRI has now also begun the process of applying for degree programs and advanced certificates. This accreditation is not the end, but rather a new beginning, as MSRI looks forward to offering more comprehensive qualifications and expanding its educational impact.
