The conference was attended by more than 1,000 young women, with TRSH’s Iinsimbi(men) and Iinsizwa(young men) were also in attendance.

Iintombi zeSambulo is a group established by Imboni Dr. uZwi-Lezwe Radebe, within the Revelation Spiritual Home. This group includes young women who are transitioning into adulthood. Iintombi maintain their spiritual identity, lead a disciplined and virtuous life, and get ready to become future wives who will honor and restore their family structure.

This anticipated conference sought to examine the identity of Iintombi as young African Indigenous Spiritual women, celebrating their resilience in the face of life’s challenges, as they remained steadfast and embraced their spirituality through the influence of the Great Deity, uMabizwa’Asabele.

Furthermore, offering a space for these young women to engage with each other and share their life experiences to foster a sense of sisterhood.

“We gather here to acknowledge that difficulties are a part of our path, yet our power is rooted in our spiritual foundation,” stated Iintombi Leader, Mam’Chumani.

With the advent of a modern life, the true essence of a woman is slowly becoming a thing of past, with young women being pulled into a direction of independence and pulling them away from their feminine energy. However, this conference addressed this concern by educating these women on reclaiming their rightful place and acknowledging their inherent strength. Furthermore, it underscored the importance of these young women valuing their bodies as they navigate the dating phase.

Comprehensive lessons regarding the sacredness of the womb were conveyed, delivering spiritual insights inspired by Imboni Dr. uZwi-Lezwe Radebe believes that the spiritual dimension must always be prioritized over a person’s livelihood, particularly concerning women in this instance.

Experience is often described as the greatest teacher in life, and Iintombi, with a variety of experiences (both positive and negative), guided their peers through their individual challenges. They demonstrated that, despite life’s difficulties, they rose above their obstacles and discovered a new purpose to reshape their lives, ensuring that their past experiences do not determine their present or future.

Several individuals expressed that they are currently centered on developing significant connections with partners who share their spiritual values. It was observed that certain relationships break down because of an emphasis on financial standing instead of character, along with insufficient communication.

The next topic on the agenda was the serious and prevalent issue of gender-based violence. Iintombi were encouraged not to conceal this growing problem; they were informed about the consequences of this violation and were provided with guidance on how to address it.

From SAPS, Vuyiseka spoke frankly about the harsh truths of abuse. She presented a distressing case of a child who was sexually assaulted by an uncle and his friend—this was only disclosed after a neighbor stepped in. The communication was unmistakable: remaining silent safeguards the perpetrator, not the victim.

Additionally, an informative session on women’s health increased awareness about health problems that impact women and are frequently neglected, providing clear explanations of what symptoms to observe and how to uphold good health.

The session also examined the negative and positive effects of social media, especially the dangers of untrained people asserting spiritual authority on the internet. Intombi was urged to stay alert and composed. The entrepreneurship session presented government-backed initiatives such as Phakama Uzenzele, which assist individuals in launching businesses by providing training in business management and planning, as well as offering financial support.

Zukiswa Mngxe, a business owner, launched NYDA initiatives that promote youth entrepreneurship, motivating young women to achieve independence.

Zethu Temu expressed that her decision to attend the conference stemmed from the realization that when Inkosi yoMoya summons the gathering of Iintombi zeSambulo, there must be no doubt. She felt a spiritual connection to participate in the event, recognizing that it was not planned by human intellect but by divine insight. The experience positively influenced her, aiding her in realizing how to conduct herself, including in the workplace, according to spiritual principles. She conveyed her appreciation for the chance provided, stating that it assisted them in finding their purpose and identity.

Sisanda Mvulana from the Khayelihle Spiritual Centre stressed that both the young women within and outside the spiritual home should be included in Iintombi zeSambulo. She stated that the organization is not solely focused on the attire or their physical appearance during events, but on equipping young women for the roles they will assume in society. While guidance from Inkosi yoMoya is offered, participation in the group also enhances sisterhood, a quality that Inkosi Yomoya consistently promotes. She highly advises that Iintombi participate for their personal development and to assist individuals who may feel excluded or uncertain regarding their spiritual journey.

The group officially welcomed new young women, as 66 Iintombi were presented with their Iintombi uniform by the senior leader Mam’Sineyi. The uniform holds importance that Iintombi must always keep in mind, with every detail having a meaningful role that represents the duty given to Iintombi and their role as young women.
