BREAKING: International Knowledge Day: “Connecting People Through Resources”

On March 25, 2023, TRSH International Knowledge Day was officially launched at the African Center of Excellence (ACE) Library located at TRSH’s Khayelihle branch in Emmangalisweni (Cape Town), Western Cape, with the theme, Connecting People to Resources.

Knowledge Day was introduced by Imboni iGogo Dr uZwi-Lezwe Radebe in March of 2022, with the aim to introduce African people into the culture of knowledgeable reading, which is something close to non-existing in black communities, also educating people that knowledge is not limited to academics.

AmaHlubi King, Ingonyama Langalibalele II attended the event. Dr Rethabile Mashale, who founded Molo Mhlaba, a Pan-African primary school with LITASA’s Vice Chairperson, Dr Xolisa Guzula and Western Cape’s Education Department made appearance to the event. With virtual attendance of people across the world, the event was graced by the UPF’s representative Rev Camara Bakery who too came in support of promoting a knowledge sharing culture.

To have responsible adults tomorrow, we need to groom today’s children and one of the most crucial skills towards responsibility is learning from a young age how to tackle problems and see through the world we live in and to that end, the Trillion Dollar Kids Club was launched with the aim to guide children into the route of equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills, ones they will take with them as they grow and venture into different innovative paths, which is a tool our society lacks.

Solving the already soared in problem, the launch of the Trillion Dollar Kids book took place at the V & A Waterfront’s Exclusive bookstore with 2000 copies of the book sold and Dr Radebe signing each of the copies, and was sold-out.

The book authored by Dr Radebe teaches children on savings and entrepreneurship.

Gauteng, Emazweni (KZN) and Eastern Cape should be on the lookout of the next book signing dates of the Trillion Dollar Kids Book.
