The Dr S.B. Radebe Foundation took its message of healthy living to Ezenzweni this past weekend, hosting a community walk in support of World TB Day.
The walk forms part of the Foundation’s ongoing global campaign built around the theme: “A healthy body, a healthy mind equals a healthy spirit.”
Saturday’s event drew strong support from traditional leaders, including King Jonguxolo Sandile, who endorsed the initiative alongside more than 42 senior leaders from various kingdoms.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB), with a focus on prevention, treatment and community support.
Among those in attendance were the Foundation’s founder, Imboni Dr uZwi-Lezwe Radebe; King Ahlangene Sigcawu; and King Ndlovuyezwe Ndamase. Representatives from the AmaHlubi Kingdom and political formations, including the African Transformation Movement, were also present.
Traditional leaders welcomed the initiative, noting that health awareness programmes are often concentrated in major cities.
“We appreciate such initiatives that prioritise healthy living, and we would love for them to be rolled out in our rural areas so that we can do away with potbellies,” said Nkosi Tyali, representing the AmaXhosa kingship.
The event wrapped up with performances from local and national artists, including Mr T, Izinkonjane and Maskandi artist Feza.
