On October 13, 2023 African Hidden Voices hosted their 4th Annual Commemoration of Indigenous African unsung heroes and heroines at the International Convention Centre in East London, Eastern Cape. This year commemorating Imboni Maphithini Thusi Mfene, an African Indigenous Imboni from Emazweni (KwaZulu Natal) and Gaur Radebe a forgotten freedom fighter from the Eastern Cape.
The event was graced with the presence of Inkosi Landubuzwe Ngwekazi and Ikumkani Ndamase. The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) was represented by Reverend Camara Bakary with his delegation and not forgetting Isizwe SamaSosha, both physically and virtually from the different branches of The Revelation Spiritual Home, who always spread their vibrant and welcoming energy. Amongst the large crowd was academia who heeded the call to this auspicious event and came bearing knowledge that educated the present bodies of the beauty of Africa in an educational sense, cultural sense and to top it off in a spiritual sense.
Imboni Dr UZwi leZwe Radebe, the event’s keynote speaker encouraged that people in academic spaces heed the call to be a part of African Hidden Voices in order to continue to liberate African minds and move forward with aligning themselves with their true spirituality. Imboni further declared this event as one of national importance.
The families of the Imboni Maphithini Thusi Mfene and Gaur Radebe showed their gratitude and most heartfelt appreciation for the honoring of their eminent ancestors and were each awarded R25 000.
The event was a buzz on twitter, trending on South African trends under the hashtags #4thAnnual Commemoration, #ahvcommemoratingiimboni and #alldonebyImboniuZwilezwe. The SABC covered the event also bringing awareness to the country at large of the amazing work done by Imboni Dr UZwi-Lezwe Radebe.
It is noteworthy that Imboni, the nation’s light bearer carries the Restoration mandate that does not only liberate the living but stretches as far as reaching the Spiritual heroes and heroines that have been forgotten, awakening them to draw closer to their descendants and pull them closer to those that they choose to speak to the nation through.

It was indeed a Great event. One that was showered with Blessings of rain. This event shed light about the Importance of Spirituality. As much as one can be an Academia and all they will always need a True Authentic Spiritual Guider one who is spiritually inclined to Guide them in their academics. This day also showed the significance of the role that iMBoni uTata uZwi Lezwe play’s in commemorating the forgotten Spiritual Heroes. The way the Family members were humbled and full of gratitude was really an heartwarming moment. We are truly part of a Great journey to be Guided by IMboni uZwi Lezwe as Amasosha the Blue Nation. What was seen as not important has gained more light and value under uBaba. We are truly Led and on a Journey of Restoration.
On the 15th day of October 2023 we indeed made history.Iimboni who lived back then were never remembered before.Siyambonga uTata together wuth AHV for such a huge and Great event. When the family of Imboni Maphithi said “Siyabonga ngesisikhumbuzo ngoba utata wethu akakaze akhunjulwe kodwa wayesokolela abantu” I came to realization ukuthi uTata ungumzali hay kuthi Masosha kuphela kodwa ngumzali kwisizwe esintsundu jikelele.Imagine someone remembering your parent after iminyaka ethathwa as if zange wa exister.Nooo maan Imboni is 0.If we don’t see uTata as our role model and the one we look up to then andazi ngubani lo sicinga singafunda kuye besides Imboni.Mandehle Mzontsundu!!!
You know you have reminded me about the subject that was spoken and put on hold due to some circumstances. I think this is a time we go back on that subject , remember we spoke of “Bhungane Day” I think this is a time where we need to celebrate uTata esaphila nemisebenzi yakhe . My suggestion,Zulu
