On 21 February 2026, The Revelation Spiritual Home (TRSH) Izinkanyezi youth group, in collaboration with the TRSH Youth Academy, hosted a celebratory event for matriculants. This event aimed to congratulate the class of 2026 (ASC) for their hard work and outstanding final results, while also encouraging them to continue excelling in their educational careers beyond high school. This tradition, founded in Emangalisweni (Western Cape) four years ago, has since been adopted by Gauteng Province and has spread to other TRSH spiritual centres across the African continent.
The event took place at multiple TRSH spiritual centres and was attended by over 1,000 students, along with external guests such as Mr Zolani Majola, an HR Practitioner; Dr Khumbulani Sibanda, a professional accountant and entrepreneur; Ms Wendy Mwelase, a psychologist; and Tamsanqa Masoka, a young entrepreneur. Representatives from the Dr S.B. Radebe Foundation were also present.

With many matric students struggling to choose a career path, the event provided an opportunity for attendees to hear from professionals in various fields. These speakers shared insights on how youth can approach their career choices, among other valuable advice.
Mlandeli Vusumuzi Mphosa, the current national youth leader, inaugurated the event. He reflected on the successful evolution of this initiative and urged the youth to strive for greatness, emphasizing the importance of perseverance in the face of failure. He also highlighted the value of “aligning with one’s spiritual identity” as a source of strength when facing life’s challenges.
Mr. Matseko from Jeppe Centre discussed the significance of excellence, particularly for black individuals, noting that not achieving one’s goals does not equate to failure. He encouraged attendees to recognize that there are always opportunities to refine their goals, especially for matriculants who aimed for high scores in their final exams but faced unforeseen challenges. He reminded them that their journey does not end as long as they continue to try.

Ms Wendy Mwelase reiterated the phrase, “when one fails to plan, plans to fail,” stressing the importance of creating vision boards as a step-by-step guide to achieving goals. She encouraged the youth to maintain a balance between mental health and spirituality as they prepare for the next phase of their academic journeys.
Dr Khumbulani Sibanda motivated the attendees to be ambitious while emphasising the necessity of research and critical thinking before making decisions. He also advised them to take care of their minds, which serve as a lifelong “GPS.”
The Dr S.B. Radebe Foundation, the charitable arm of TRSH, showcased the number of matriculants whose matric dances were sponsored by the foundation. It aims not only to support African communities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle but also to address socio-economic issues through various initiatives, such as the Khula Bhungane soccer and netball tournaments.
The event reinforced the philosophy that spirituality nurtures a teachable spirit and that meaningful academic contributions are vital components of its mission.

Mr. Phumelele Mvuvu, the TRSH Social Media Chairperson, emphasised the importance of contributing to the restoration of AIS online and encouraged attendees to pursue careers aligned with their spiritual calling, ensuring both professional excellence and genuine content creation.
Each matriculant in attendance received certificates of recognition, and Unathi Mabusela, who achieved six distinctions, received the grand prize of R1,000. The invited speakers pledged to allow students to job shadow them, and Jeppe College awarded a full rewrite bursary to one deserving student.
In keeping with TRSH tradition, the event concluded with a toast of McCol Barley drink, marking a successful transition for the youth from secondary education into their respective spiritual and professional paths.
