On Friday April 11, 2025 The Sunhak Peace Prize Ceremony took place at the Crystal Ballroom of Lotte Hotel World, Seoul, Korea, with an attendance of over 750 international guests, including global leaders, former and current heads of state, prominent civil society representatives and global leaders from approximately 100 countries as well as virtual global attendance.

Marking its 10th anniversary, the Sunhak Peace Prize 2025 ceremony honoured notable figures, with Patrick Awuah Jr., the founder of Ashesi University in Ghana, celebrated for revolutionizing higher education in Africa. Hugh Evans, an Australian and co-founder and CEO of Global Citizen, was awarded the prize for his outstanding dedication to global citizenship. Wanjira Mathai of Kenya received recognition for her exceptional environmental leadership, particularly via the AFR100 initiative and the Green Belt Movement, along with former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan for his role in promoting peaceful democratic transitions and effective governance.

Inkosi yoMoya, Imboni Dr uZwi-Lezwe Radebe, founder and a leader of The Revelation Spiritual Home was honoured at the ceremony after being selected for the prize out of 1000 nominees, for Imboni’s dedication to interreligious harmony and community peace in Africa.
The Sunhak Peace Prize was established in 2015 by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the wife of the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon. This prize embodies her deep aspiration to carry on the legacy established by her husband, who devoted his whole life to achieving global peace, prosperity, and coexistence, where humanity flourishes as “One Family Under God.”

The connection between Imboni and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon originates from a spiritual revelation that Imboni received on 7 September 2014, wherein the vision indicated that Imboni needed to welcome an Asian woman. In this spiritual revelation, Imboni was shown a direction pointing towards Asia, and initially, Imboni did not understand the implications of this revelation. It was only later that Imboni became acquainted with the Universal Peace Federation, led by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, from Korea, which validated the spiritual revelation.

As a result, Imboni Dr. uZwi-Lezwe Radebe’s efforts have greatly impacted the lives of Africans and individuals globally by promoting peace through selflessness in numerous ways and most especially being in the forefront of African Indigenous Spirituality. Imboni’s oration highlighted the unforeseen and unpredicted results of trials and tribulations, “… those who strive for goodness frequently find themselves unjustly labelled and confronted with obstacles yet it is during these trials that the teachings of the Sunhak remind us that the meaningful actions we undertake will eventually lead to triumph and inspire others to seek change in the world” said Imboni.

As an African Indigenous Spiritual leader with over 3 million followers nationwide, Imboni has faced ridicule and obstacles that have sought to undermine the efforts and mandate entrusted to Imboni and this has proven that individuals who have been set to fulfil a certain mandate for the wellness of humanity will not be easily accepted as their work is not driven by the pursuit of accolades however by deep seated commitment, all in a bid to fulfil their lives’ purposes. The presentation of the Sunhak Peace Prize aims to honor individuals who have selflessly dedicated themselves to the cause of peace and commend their efforts, thus igniting a beacon of hope that will illuminate every person on the planet who longs for global peace.

Congratulations to Inkosi yoMoya Imboni Dr uZwi-Lezwe Radebe for consistently leading the African Restoration mission and elevating African Indigenous Spirituality to a prominent status above all else.
